Film: Valentino F/W 13.14 Video Campaign

Directed by Dutch photographers Inez and Vinoodh in New York, the concept of the Valentino campaign is inspired by Flemish portrait paintings from the 17th century. Sasha Luss blossoms like an Hibiscus with Gareth Pugh’s Flamenco cape, flounces as a Lisianthus in a Francesco Sconamiglio sheer dress, proudly swings with a stiff and large ruffled peplum on a Balenciaga sheath and in a Marc Jacobs modern Columbina dress. Confident in her soft and large ruffles arcing around her shoulders in a blue cobalt Gucci tunic and pants, and peplumed in her Marni ensemble, Sasha radiates with her Astrakhan effect in a micro-ruffled silk blouse from Dries Van Noten and in a frilled silk shirt on a Saint Laurent Paris tuxedo by Hedi Slimane. Abstract bows and flattened ruffles with a thumbnail effect on an asymmetric Lanvin dress completes the overview of a spring-summer 2013 season putting ruffles back in the fold, styled together by Vanessa Naudin.
